I'll start by saying this is one of my favorite series. 

This book opens with the continuation of the ending scene in book 8 Her Unending Horizon, and I have waited patiently to find out what happened when Zoe Avery went in the ditch... At 8 months pregnant 🫣, with her sisters baby she was being surrogate for.

So the beginning of this book starts out with a pretty nail-biting scene.

I'm glad I had a pretty lazy week planned so I've ignored the chores and kept turning the pages as our Hero of the hour  

Adam Beckett (and his adorable son James) find Zoe in the ditch in the snowstorm going into labor, alone on a deserted mountain road?

Yeah intense! 

But again Ms O'Learys words brought the scene to life, Adam with 4 years old James, who brought some lighter moments throughout the delivery in the back of Adam's Ford F-150 (All I could think of was that it's a good job Americans like super sized utes 🤣.)

We get a sweet slow burn romance, with a bit of suspense from both Zoe's and Adams workplaces. 

Favorite character... James 

Favorite scene... When James is talking about sleepovers 😉

The book was everything I was waiting for, and yay there'll be another book in October 😁 go

This is the third book in this trilogy and boy I really got into the story and couldn't put it down. In this last adventure, Zara puts everything on the line, her reputation, job, and her history all for her lover—Tobias Wilder. Keeping his secret has cost her, but hopefully Tobias and Zara can prove her credibility in the art world and her father's reputation, and bring to justice the person responsible for stealing precious artifacts and priceless paintings, They will have to use all their combined experience and knowledge to bring the truth of an unscrupulous mega-rich billionaire and his son to justice.

With Tobias's ingenious inventions, they set off to capture their prize, and hopefully, they will get the chance to spend their future together.

Now what I didn't like about the book, well the blurb on this book has a bit of a spoiler ( I would be a bit fed up to be honest if I had accidentally read this blurb before reading the first book... as it gives the plot twist of book 1 away) But that was it... I loved this book, the pacing, the way the author brings the world of art into the book, which made me want to stop and google the paintings that were mentioned in the book, I wanted to go sit in a museum and sit in front of a painting, to just 'BE' and absorb the art. Hopefully, I will get a chance to do that soon but I will have to make do with my screensaver on my laptop which has a mix of famous art paintings as well as famous photographs to keep my artistic muse satisfied.

I do love reading books that bring you not only great characters you can get invested in, but also expand your imagination, knowledge, and inspiration in the setting of the story. This book did this and I just loved picking it up and wondering where Zara and Tobias would lead me to next.

I have enjoyed all three books But As I mentioned above, try to ignore the blurb of this book, grab book 1 and get reading.

Book 2 of this series had our intrepid Art investigator Zara Leighton falling down the rabbit hole of lust and attraction as Tobias has swept her off her feet, but the more she gets to know about Tobias, the more clues to who ICON is start to point to Tobias, and Zara is now facing the ultimate dilemma. Zara has always ‘done the right thing’ her new job is on the line, and when a painting appears that cast’s doubt on her father and therefore her integrity, Tobias is there to help… Will Zara give into her heart or listen to her head?

The Author takes you on a tumultuous journey into the art world where the Mega rich will do anything to own a priceless piece of art.

We learn more about why ICON is selective in his targets, and I couldn’t help but route for him, and hoped that Zara would listen to her heart. I was ‘googling ‘ pictures as they were described in the book, as the descriptive writing intrigued me to actually see if I could see what Zara saw in each painting. It was fun, and that’s the one benefit of an e-book… I know I could just type it into a search engine if I was reading a paperback… but I am lazy sometimes and it’s just a click of a finger on my kindle!

There is more action in this book, and the storyline keeps you glued to the pages, I dived into book 3 as soon as I finished.

I really enjoyed the book and I think I will miss these characters when I have finished.

Blood and Secrets by Rose Harper

**I voluntarily reviewed this book for Katsindiebookblog, and I gained no monetary incentives nor was I specifically requested to review the book.** I love me a good mafia book, and this one did not disappoint. I'm highly looking forward to the next one that comes out. You get left with a huge twist at the end of this book.

Mateo is set to wed Carina, a contract that was put in place years ago, something to bond the families together. Even though they haven't married, Mateo is still going to protect what is meant to be his, so when Carina suffers with some injuries, he does what he can to help her. There is some instant chemistry in play, but it's more of a love hate relationship.

This book was written well, a few surprises, especially at the end. If you love some hot, sexy mafia men, I would most definitely recommend this book!

This book is sex on a stick! You get hooked from the first page, and it just gets better with each flowing word. Chase Hudson is a Billionaire CEO by day and a Rock Star by night. What more can any woman wish for? Tattoos, piercing, Harley?? Yummy!! Chase wants nothing more than to live the life of his alter ego, it’s his dream.

Ivy grew up in the world of money, however, she doesn’t let the money rule her life like she sees so many do. Instead she uses the money and her time to help benefit the others that are less fortunate.

She has a chance meeting with Chase at a party, which she had attended with her parents. She seems intrigued by him but at the same time, she tries to steers clear from him because she believes he’s just like the other money men around. Chase is infatuated by her as well, how she lives her life so free, even though she’s in the same lifestyle as he is.

Can these two possibly break from their mold and possibly start something together? Or will all these lies start getting in the way and push them apart? This is a great love story with maybe a HEA?! A great read, which makes it hard to put down. Once you think you have a breaking point, something happens which keeps you from putting it away. I highly recommend this book!

• I’m not overweight…I’m undertall. If I were eight feet tall I’d be perfect!
• I like to write to the sound of movie scores. Maybe that’s why I’M SUCH A DRAMA QUEEN!
• I’ve always believed I’m an introvert, but I recently discovered I’m an ambivert. This means I’m emotionally drained in crowds, but I rise beautifully to the occasion if I’m forced to interact with…gasp…people!
