Review Beastly (Phoebe Reede: The Untold Story, #3)Beastly by Michelle Irwin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Updated review:
This Series NEEDS to be read in order. This is the series that continues from Michelle Irwin first #RacingThemedseries of books, Declan Reede: The Untold Story, Phoebe is Declan's eldest daughter, and in Phase Phoebe sets off to America for a well needed holiday, where she meets Beau. her holiday romance turns into more, but a long distance relationship can be hard and in Phobic The struggles of this are forefront in the story, and wow - warning that book left me with such a book hangover, both books were on my Topreads2016 and this and I guess if Ms. Irwin finishes this series this year I predict the books will be on my top-2017-read shelf

This book is told in Beau's POV, and there were times when I did want to bat him across the head and tell him to get a grip, there were other times when I wanted to hug him and tell him it will be ok ( unfortunately the master of his destiny is going to make him work for it - Ms. Irwin likes to make her characters work hard for their happy ever after! )
I feel for him and Phoebe, they have gone through so much but I have faith that it will be worth it in the end - or else Ms Irwin may get a rant from me.
I will warn readers that this series covers some trigger subjects - nothing graphic, but I really felt Beau and Declan when they were searching for Phoebe.

OK there you go, my thoughts on the book after a bit of sleep and time to contemplate my feelings...

This is my bleary-eyed comment after sitting in the dark on the floor in my lounge, my kindle plugged into the socket because I ran out of battery at 98%!

Omg!!! I need to sleep... but goddam Michelle Irwin you know how to twist the reader's emotions. My hearts breaking and I now desperately want the next story! #tissues and an uninterrupted read will be required when you start this book, you will be glued to the pages. Its 2:30 am and I am going to go try to sleep now. But I know that I'll be thinking about the ending till dawn

And btw it took me ages to get to sleep! What will Phoebe do in #Physis - Book 4 in the series out in April (was going to be August but YAY not long to go now) 2017 (PS if you wonder about the title for book 4 here is the definition)

JENNI'S REVIEW

Beastly (Phoebe Reede: The Untold Story, #3)Beastly by Michelle Irwin
Jenni's rating: 5 of 5 stars

***I voluntarily reviewed this book for Katsindiebookblog, and I gained no monetary incentives nor was I specifically requested to review the book.*** OMG! This book is really making it hard for me to find the right words to describe it. This story, with a POV of Beau and Declan, will tear you up emotionally. You live and feel what the characters are going through.
**You must read the 2 prior books in the series to understand, also it wouldn't hurt to read Declan's series either. It will help you understand why he is the way he is and acts the way he does.**
Both men are on a search for Phoebe, both emotionally distraught over what had happened to the one they love. Even though all signs point to an innocent man, can he clear his name? What about finding the real person who did this all? There are many twist and turns, and 1 in particular you will not see coming, I know I didn't! Can someone's past be coming back to haunt them?
You'll definitely have a problem putting this book down. It's non stop action and suspense. Without giving anything away, expect a few tears to be shed, which will leave you with a painful cliffhanger. Michelle has definitely done it again and August can't get here soon enough!

She achieved all of these feats and many more through her voracious reading habit. Eventually, so much reading had to have an effect and the cast of characters inside her mind took over and spilled out onto the page.

Michelle lives in sunny Queensland in the land down under with her surprisingly patient husband and ever-intriguing daughter, carving out precious moments of writing and reading time around her accounts-based day job. A lover of love and overcoming the odds, she primarily writes paranormal and fantasy romance.

Two years with my knight in rusted armor

I, Makenzie Mayfair am leaving my husband.

This is my chance to begin again, to rip out my backbone and yell, “I’ve found it.” It may take time, it may take new friends, a job and even a jerk of a boss who is annoyingly handsome, but I will get there.

I’m determined to be who I want to be, and plan to have a whole heap of fun along the way.

Well I spent most of last night and this morning reading this book, it was 3rd in line on my list but after the last book I finished, I just needed something light and funny.
THIS was perfect for my mood.
If you want a book where the heroine finally decides to live for herself, and not for the smuck she married straight out of college then this story is for you. Randell was a D!$Khead But Kenzie, boy when she found her courage then she was on a roll.
I know this is a curvy girl story and I applaud Lila for going for a cover that reflects that, and I may be a skinny butt but I got how she felt, I have felt those feelings of doubt, low self-esteem and the nervousness of wondering if the hunk that is interested in me ... is really interested in ME, the skinny 'stick'. So Yeah I related well to her inner monolog.
The book is a delight, I had a hard time not waking the hubby as I read into the early hours of the morning and at 71% I spat out my tea! thankfully while reading on my sofa alone LOL.
We don't get to delve deep into Grayson's personality, we get a bit of background, but Lila has mostly focused on this being Mackenzie's story, and that was fine.. I guess the reason I gave it a 4.5 star was I really didn't think it needed all the love scenes, as I loved the build up and tension that occurs in the main part of the book as the romance builds, and of course the stereotypical women who were Grayson's Ex's Harpy ( lol I did love her nickname, she was well suited to it though)
SO if you are wanting a light rom-com that has a lovely story, some seriously funny scenes then grab a copy and jump in.

“You single?” Hudson asked suddenly.
My cheeks pinked. “Y-yes, actually, no, ah, it’s complicated.” I sighed and noticed everyone was waiting for an answer. “All I’m willing to say is that I left my husband on Friday.”
Hudson whistled and opened his mouth to presumably ask more, but Angelia smacked him in the back of the head. “No questions.” She turned to me and added, “Just putting this out there, all men suck. If you want to turn the other way and start looking at women”—she pointed to herself—“I get first dibs at your new sexual experience.”
A quick flash of me licking a fish popped into my head. It was my turn to choke and cough on my food.
“Um… I’ll think about it.”
She threw her head back and laughed. “Joking. Not about me being gay, but I think we’d be better off as friends than lovers.”
“I have a feeling she’ll always be a penis lover, Ang,” Ryan piped up and grinned, throwing a wink my way. “I’m good for a rebound.”
My head jerked back. Had I been too long out of the dating game? I didn’t know it was normal for men to state their intentions straightaway.
“Not all men are like these two,” Abby said as she threw a carrot at Ryan. “They’re just sex crazed.”
Dara snorted, then laughed. “You should have seen your face though.”

Grinning, I shook my head and went back to my food. I had a feeling I was going to enjoy lunch each day with my new colleagues. Even if they had bet on when I would leave.
I was born in Brisbane Australia, my step-dad was in the army which caused us to move around a lot. We finally settled in country Victoria, Australia. I am the youngest of four children and I can say that I was spoilt a bit. I drove my mum crazy when I refused to eat meat at a young age.

Now I live with my husband and two children, and I find myself regretting all the troubles I put my parents through because my monsters are just as picky as I was.

I started writing in 2013 and self-published the first of the Hawks MC Club series, Holding Out. The next to follow was something different, I wrote Senseless Attraction, a YA novel. Soon, I was back to the Hawks series with number two, Climbing Out. I have more to write in the series, but there will be also be more novels in the humorous erotica genre, like Left to Chance.

After a wardrobe malfunction, a spy mission gone wrong, and a dangerous cup of coffee, Maylee and Benson explore something they never even thought about during senior year. This was a surprisingly refreshing story, maylee has a lot of hangups, and I got where she was coming from, seriously having had a shitty time at school, with myself having a biatch that made my life hell, so I was rooting for her in her quest to get the biatch queen Josephine out of her brothers life. The things Josephine did were unforgivable, I don't think I could have let it go, once I found out what she did.
But the author did a great job in showing how sometimes you have to let go of the past to move on with the future. Mylee's escapades had me laughing, her friend was the perfect partner in crime when they were out spying... there's lots of bits I could tell you about that made me laugh or cry. But I suggest that you discover them yourself by reading the book. I look forward to reading more from this

A high school English teacher, an author, and a fan of anything pink and/or glittery, Lindsay's the English teacher cliché; she love cats, reading, Shakespeare, and Poe.

She currently lives in her hometown with her husband, Chad (her junior high sweetheart); their cats, Arya, Amelia, Alice, and Bob; and their Mastiff, Henry.

Lindsay's goal with her writing is to show the power of love and the beauty of life while also instilling a true sense of realism in her work. Some reviewers have noted that her books are not the “typical romance.” With her novels coming from a place of honesty, Lindsay examines the difficult questions, looks at the tough emotions, and paints the pictures that are sometimes difficult to look at. She wants her fiction to resonate with readers as realistic, poetic, and powerful. Lindsay wants women readers to be able to say, “I see myself in that novel.” She wants to speak to the modern woman’s experience while also bringing a twist of something new and exciting. Her aim is for readers to say, “That could happen,” or “I feel like the characters are real.” That’s how she knows she's done her job.

Lindsay's hope is that by becoming a published author, she can inspire some of her students and other aspiring writers to pursue their own passions. She wants them to see that any dream can be attained and publishing a novel isn’t out of the realm of possibility.

Kats Review
His Chance (HIS, #4)His Chance by Sheila Kell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*** I voluntarily reviewed this book, I gained no monetary incentives nor was I specifically requested to review the book, these are my honest ramblings and I hope you enjoy reading them - kat***

Does it count if you can’t remember? WHAT an Opening! the Eyes and Ears of the HIS team Devon Hamilton comes back from Vegas with a bump on the head and no memory of how it happened and Ms. Kell had me guessing how on earth this happened, when you first read the book the reader only knows what the characters know, and it is not till the very end that we find out what actually happened in Vegas

When Kate realises that her friend Rylee Hawkins may be in trouble, Devon steps away from the command center and into the field. The rest of the team wonder why he volunteered, but soon Kate finds out, and then shes keen to help him stick with Rylee when he discovers she is on a dangerous mission to find the two girls who disappeared on her final FBI op, the FBI haven't put much effort into finding them, but Rylee won't give up.

Devon agrees to help Rylee, but it comes with a price, that Rylee is hesitant to pay.
Rylee is unaware of what Devon's investigation into his missing weekend in Vegas uncovered, and when he explains, she reluctantly agrees to give into his request in exchange for his help.

Now I thought that Rylee was a bit of a reckless cannon to start with, but I guess she was so focused on her mission she failed to think of the obvious help she could have gotten from the full HIS team. But I enjoyed the story, and Devon's dogged determination to succeed in showing Rylee they were worth the Chance.

There were some tense moments, some very sweet moments and plenty of action to keep you glued to the pages.

Ms Kell says that the books do not have to be read in order ( But I think that its better if they are)
1) HIS DESIRE (Jesse & Kate)
2) HIS CHOICE (AJ & Megan)
3) HIS RETURN (Jake & Emily)
4) HIS CHANCE (Devon & Rylee)

And I can't wait for the next book in the series.

The Boys of HIS are addictive, and I really want Trent's story - its destined to be a goodie!

IF you have not read Ms Kell's books before, grab Book 1 in the series which is currently FREE and then if you want more the Box Set - books 1-3 is the way to go, ready for the release of His Chance on the 17th February.

Jenni's Review
His Chance (HIS, #4)His Chance by Sheila Kell
Jenni's rating: 5 of 5 stars

***I voluntarily reviewed this book for Katsindiebookblog, and I gained no monetary incentives nor was I specifically requested to review the book.*** Another great book in a great series. Yes this can be read as a standalone, however I HIGHLY recommend reading the series in order so you will have a better feel, especially with all the characters that come into play. In this book you are brought into Devon’s and Rylee’s life. There was a prior meeting months ago in Vegas, and what goes on in Vegas does eventually come knocking on your door later! Rylee is one of Kate’s friend as well as an Ex FBI agent, when Kate believes one of her closest friends is in trouble, she asks one of the Hamilton brothers who she believes will be the best of her options. Devon is the computer genius of the company who can find any and everything that is out there, even if people want them hidden. When Devon does realize that Rylee is in trouble, he devices his own plan in order to help himself. Rylee gets what she wants if Devon gets what he wants. Win, win right? Well what happens when danger is knocking on their doorstep? Can they pull together and fight off the bad guys?
I love this book and the whole series. It is filled with action, suspense, and don’t forget about all the sexiness! This is very well written, with all the right descriptions, not too much and not too little! If you haven’t checked out the HIS series yet, I would seriously recommend doing so, you are definitely missing out on one of the best series that I’ve read so far this year. I truly hope there are more to come, there are plenty of sexy men in this series that I would love to hear their story!
