***I voluntarily reviewed this book for Katsindiebookblog, and I gained no monetary incentives nor was I specifically requested to review the book.*** I’m surprised I have not heard of this book till now. If I would have known, I would have read it way before. This is a great story with many twists and turns, and keeps you guessing. Let’s just say, until the answer was right under my nose, I had NO clue as to who the bad guy was. I was highly shocked. Despite all the many characters you meet in this book, it’s well written so there is no confusion as to who’s the main character.
You meet Kate and AJ, who are FBI Agents and partners. You also meet Jesse, Owner and leader of Hamilton Investigation & Security (HIS). Jesse and AJ are also brothers. Kate ends up running into a problem where her life becomes in danger. Jesse has a rough past where he feels the need to protect Kate so his past does not come back and haunt him. However, Kate does not feel the need for protection, she is an FBI Agent after all, she can take care of herself. Needless to say, her wishes aren’t granted. With protection from Jesse himself, you can only imagine the sexual tension involved with such close quarters. Will these 2 strong willed people be able to work together to solve the mystery of who’s after Kate? What about the mystery of a possible future between them? This is a great start to a great series. You start following in love with each individual character, you just can’t help it.

I have been reading this series today, relaxing on my picnic blanket, on the first day that actually felt like summer (in NZ)
I love a story that has men that are hardwired to serve and protect. They make the perfect book boyfriends.
This 3 book series box set is a nice price for some great stories to whisk you away for an afternoon’s relaxing read. So far I have read Kate and Jesse’s book HIS DESIRE, Kate was easy to like, she has a heart but she can also look after herself, the scene in the hospital was a good example of how Sheila Kell has made her heroines tough enough to handle a situation, but at the same time need someone to care for them. I look forward to reading the next book and will update my review as I go along.
I will say that after only 1 book read that I would say go for it, its a bargain and get reading now, don’t wait for me to finish it…
