Review
Journey To Sunrise by Caitlyn O'LearyMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Ms. O'Leary draws the reader into the pain and despair of trauma.
And how Zaraks determination and compassion helped to get Chloe back on the road to recovery.
I have read the original novella 'Tempting Fire's, which was written in 'Kindle World's ' and was unpublished, and now updated. ( l previously rated it 3 Stars)
I think for a more immersive read, reading 'Evie and Aiden's' story from the Midnight Delta series - Her Relentless Seal ' would work well.
That book has always stuck in my memory because it was such a highly suspenseful storyline.
dealing with PTSD and depression and anxiety, isn't a good subject to weave into a romance, but Ms. O'Leary draws the reader into Chloe's situation without making light of the struggle she had, to understand how she had allowed herself to get so low. (depression creeps in unnoticed sometimes)
Also Zaraks determination to be patient but firm, and the way he would reframe his suggestions to how she would deal with him, was really good.
The Parts where the ' Avery Avalanche ' tries to take over were also my favorites, the Avery family are one of my favorite character families in Ms O'Leary's books, a family who have risen from their harsh beginnings, to become tough, but harshly loyal to their siblings.
this is a backstory which will lead into another book of how Chloe and Zaraks relationship so I can't wait to catch up with Chloe and Zarek later in their lives in Her Unending Horizon (Jasper Creek Book 7).
