Although these stories are stand-alone, as in separate events, I feel they DO NEED to be read in order so please for the full benefit and to not spoil the other 2 books that are already out, read book 1 His Desire and book 2 His Choice first.
I gave this book a full 5 stars, although I am not that keen on the cover (sorry Sheila) but the cover does not fit my imagination's version of Jake. But in saying that the story was fantastic! the best one yet, and I have the next waiting to read, as soon as I finish my current Review Read.
Jake is mentioned in both the first two books, Jake the adopted son who left mysteriously (we find out why in AJ's Book - His Choice. Jake was a strong character that had a lot to deal with, leaving the family at a young age he chose to go undercover when his emotions were too mixed up for him to think clearly, immersing himself into a world, far from the one he grew up in.
But now he is back, he has been through hell and now when he finds out the truth he is going to have to deal with the fallout, that on top of the trouble Emily finds herself in means this book is action packed and will have you turning pages long into the night.
There are secrets in HIS, more than you can imagine and the author did a good job in weaving this intriguing tale into its dramatic conclusion. AND I did cry!
I have questions... hopefully they will be answered in the upcoming His Chance and if not I do hope that Sheila Kell will give the person who is named in His Return a book also after all he has been through, I think his may be the last book to be written but I hope he does get one. ( cryptic much I know, lol)
