I will say that I have loved every book that Blair Babylon has written that i have read so far, I have read all the Rock Stars in Disguise series now, and I will probably re read this series in the future as I loved them that much.- if you love characters that have layers, but also want to escape into a world out of the ordinary joe public then read Blairs books ( I also love that the musical background is so well founded, I am not a musician, but I love violins, piano etc and this book series brings you to find more about these when reading the ebooks - links to songs & Musicians that inspired the story)
BLURB:
The first time that Dr. Andy Kumar had seen Cadell Glynn—all six feet, four inches of him, tribal tattoos winding around his arms, fingertips deeply callused from years of pressing steel guitar strings, dressed in leather pants and a tee shirt ripped at the neck that let the tattoos on his muscular shoulders peek through, blue-tipped black hair spiraling in curls and swaying near his shoulders, and fear and helplessness filling his dark eyes at the sight of his sick child hooked up to two different IVs and crying—Andy had known that he was going to be trouble.
Mr. Glynn had interrogated Andy and the other surgeons, asking why, and when, and how, and would it hurt Emily too much.
He had calmed down some after that first week. Some.
After a few weeks, when Emily had stabilized, Mr. Glynn had backed off from the third degree, but he had begun to mention that there were other things in life outside the hospital. Restaurants. Dancing. Concerts.
Even though he was the hottest thing Andy had ever seen, she should not date Cadell for so many reasons. So many.
The temptation was just too much.
Andy wished that the hot rock star daddy would quit asking her out.

***Gifted in exchange for an honest review ***
This was said to be the last of the Killer Valentine series... but I do hope that we connect with these characters again sometime. as I'm missing them already.
I have left writing this review for a few days because of the sentimental feelings of loss when I got to the end... I wasn't ready to let these characters go.
so I am giving the book 4.5 stars. I just felt that Emily voice was just too old for a t we o year old (I had a good debate about this with various mothers of 2 yr olds and for the most they agreed with my feelings that a 2yr old would have limited linguistic skills. so i am sticking to my feelings)
but its fiction after all and i guess maybe having Cadell Glynn as a father could produce a Gifted kid?
I loved how Blair has picked a female lead that was not the normal trope. I really loved the insight into a mixed cultural relationship.
I also loved the dedication from Blair (read from the beginning of the book and you will get what I mean)
overall I will wholeheartedly recommend this book series to anyone who loves books music and great writing.
and seeing as Blair has the first book free you can dip your toes... but I think that you will get hooked like I was.
please Blair lets hear from these guys again
but thanks for the Epilogue - it rocked, there were a few funny moments but I did have a favourite... It could be seen as a spoiler so I have not written it - but when you see something about BATS - thats it!

Blair Babylon is the nom de plume of an award-winning, USA Today-bestselling author who used to publish literary fiction. Because professional reviews of her other fiction usually included the caveat that there was too much deviant sex and too much interesting plot, she decided to abandon all literary pretensions, let her freak flag fly, and write hot, sexy, erotic romance, plus wild, suspenseful thrillers, science fiction, and urban fantasy using the super-secret pen name Blair C. Babylon.
