His
lips are almost brushing against mine, so close I can feel his breath
caress my lips… it’s intoxicating. Daniel places one hand on the
back of my head, pulling me forward to close the small gap between us
as his perfect lips meet mine for a gentle, yet utterly
heart-stopping kiss. This is the first kiss fairytales are spun from.
My heartbeat is still rapid, my pulse is still racing, and I can’t
for the life of me figure out why I have waited so long to find him.
This man was obviously made just for me. Daniel stops kissing me,
resting his forehead against mine.
I
reach up and run my fingers through his hair, and I feel him suck in
his breath as he slowly he moves his lips to mine. Gently kissing me,
he parts my lips with his tongue, making his way into my mouth. When
his tongue caresses mine I feel butterflies in my stomach. What
the hell? The
feeling is exceptional; it’s unlike anything I’ve ever felt
before. I’m lost in it and to it.

I love to write, so when my career suddenly turned into a job that I hated I turned back to my love of writing. I married my high school sweetheart... how cool is that? Margaritas and sarcasm make me happy. Chocolate makes that happiness grow exponentially. People who make me laugh are my favorite kind of people. I believe Karma is a bitch who slaps back hard and that mean people suck. I'm California born and raised, I love the beach but hate the sand. Breaking Kate is my first novel and is part of The Acceptance Series.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review in conjunction with the Release Day Blitz tour.
This is the authors first book, her writing style was easy to read, even with the multiple POVs . I thought it added dimension that you learn.
I don't like reviews that give spoilers away... and you can get the outline of the story from the Synopsis, what I will say is that until around 72% through the book I had been second guessing the plot line - But D Kelly side swipes you with a twist you will not see coming...
During the first part of the book I felt the young Katherine and Micheal were really in love - that this was either going to be a HEA or there would be a tragic twist, and the Author didn't disappoint. I had a lump in my throat as I read that part, Ms Kelly had quickly drawn me into her characters and I really felt for Katherine and I wanted to punch Micheal in the head!
Flash forward 3 years and Katherine (or Kate as she is now known as) meets Daniel who is like no one she's ever met before, he's handsome ( well that's to be expected!) but he is caring and compassionate, sexy and loving in one bundle! ( don't you love book boyfriends like that?)
Daniel also has had a rough time with his recent relationship, it ended 6 months ago, and when their friends set them up they fall for each other hook line and sinker. Kate is about to get her HEA??? well that would be a bit predictable and boring wouldn't it?
Nope - Just when its getting good for the pair... Kate's First love Micheal throws a spanner in the works....
Now - as I said I was finding the story line a bit predictable (don't get me wrong - I still was enjoying it) but I was thinking OK this is the usual romance story... BUT the author lulls you into a false sense of security, and before you know it the story is hotting up, you are waiting for the ball to drop and the shit to hit the fan...
and then WAM she drops in a twist that leaves you wanting book 2 ASAP.
So in ending I am giving Ms Kelly 4 stars which means I liked the story and want to know more, I also will look forward to seeing how both the characters develop and Ms Kelly's writing style develops also - I think this author is going to be one to watch and I will be keeping a tabs on her page for her new projects.
